Here is Marlice wearing the vest as finished from the pattern on the previous page. The vest was felted in the flat-pattern, the bird applique was done when the felt was still unhardened and then the felting procedure was continued until the felt became hard. After drying, the pattern is cut and the stiching, seams and felted buttons were attached.
